2010 2nd Shot.com Fall Tour

Fellow Golfers –

It is that time again to meet on the Grand Strand for some golf, fun, beverages and fellowship. We have scheduled the 2nd Shot.com Fall Tour for October 2-6, 2010 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This year’s tour will be the 11th tour and will be staying in a new condo complex known as the Caribbean Resort (www.caribbeanresort.com). The condo location is located a bit south of our old location, but the condo building we will be staying is only about three years old.

The tour this year includes 5 days of golf and 4 nights at the condo arriving on a Saturday and departing on a Wednesday. The total cost is $672.02 per golfer which includes the condo, golf, cart fees, breakfast buffet at the Sea Captains Restaurant (next to the condo facility). I have reserved three – 3 bedroom condos (with three baths and full facilities) for up to 12 golfers. I realize that there may be variations to this set up which might include some of you wanting a 1 or 2 bedroom condo (I have included the cost for a 1 bedroom ocean front room in the itinerary). If this is the case, you need to let myself and the golf director at the Caribbean Resort – D’ann Ladd (hopefully Cheryl’s little sister) – dann.ladd@caribbeanresort.com or (843.448.7181 – ext. 2270).

For your review, I have attached the itinerary for the tour which includes the golf courses – Prestwick, Thistle, Shaftesbury Glen, World Tour, and The Witch. Prestwick is a P.B Dye course, Thistle is a links style course, and World Tour is inspired from golf courses around the world. With the British Open just ending, these courses will be a great test of our ability and agility. I encourage you to click on the website links on the itinerary to check out these great golf courses.

We must move quickly to fill up the 12 slots so I encourage you to call in and reserve your spot by August 2, 2010. This will be a great trip with fun had by all including a little gaming, a little beverages, and great cookin by Big Daddy. A number of people fly to MB, but a group of us travel by car from Ohio. Others will be coming from Texas and Michigan and maybe some from Florida.

D’ann has also informed me that we will receive a golfer’s welcome package which includes some coupons for pro shops, Martins Golf World, restaurants and more.

Welcome to the official site of the The 2nd Shot.com Tour. The 2nd Shot.com Tour is an annual fall golf tour which has been occuring since 2000. This prestigious golf tournanment has occured in September or October of each year and included 8 stops in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and 1 stop in Alabama tracing the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. During the 9 years of the event, over 40 golf courses have been conquered by the sandbaggers, duffers, and on sometimes flawless golfers. Some have improved, some have stayed the same, and yes some have worsened their ability to show brilliance at times. All told, every year, we enjoy the fellowship, comaraderie, and a quite a few pints of our favorite beverage. For it is not about winning, it is about the shots that could or supposed to have been and the fellowship of being in the open air close to the flora and fauna. And remember, if the mullis you take do not improve your ball position then I am sorry to say you would not be a solid 2nd shot.com tour member.
